This will lead to increased recoil and slower, less accurate rounds on target. If the stock is too long, you will struggle to find a comfortable, repeatable shooting position. Once you’ve made your decision on a good pump action or a high-quality semiauto, the next task is ensuring that the gun fits you. In my experience, nothing makes bad guys go down as fast as when they catch a chest full of 00 buck or a 1-ounce slug. In the line of duty, I’ve had to shoot people and see others be shot with several different types of firearms: rifles, pistols and shotguns. So why the shotgun, then? With all these drawbacks and caveats, why put the time in? Well, simply put, there’s nothing more effective at stopping a dedicated threat from 0-25 yards. Pump actions are more forgiving, but recoil mitigation and loading, unloading, and reloading are skills that take time to develop and have very little in common with other platforms. It’s not hard, but expect to devote some time to training in order to achieve proficiency.

They have manuals of arms that are specific and require practice to be competent in. Semiautomatic shotguns are not a load and forget proposition, either. Otherwise expect to pay north of $1,000 for a quality Italian or American semiauto.
There are value guns out there that will work for you, but the cheap, imported semiautos are often not of a quality or caliber that I’d be willing to bet my life on their performance. While you can do just fine with a moderately priced pump action, like the Mossberg Maverick 88, you can’t go cheap with a semi. If you have decided that you want a shotgun, you must decide what type, a pump or a semiauto. Magpul’s SGA Stock includes shims and cheek risers to fine tune length of pull and comb height. Shotgun fit is an important consideration that facilitates accurate shooting. The recoil can be sharp, but it’s not going to be prohibitive for anyone, regardless of size, that has put in work. Come back and you have a huge batch of ammo or mask/suit refills. I just drop in on hand ingredients, set it to beacons, walk away and do something else, put those beacons in an input container, drop in powder, pipes, and rubber from storage, make ammo, and go do something else while its working. As far as automation I just make the ammo in batches along with gas mask/hazmat refills in a manufacturer I have at my base connected to industrial containers for input and output. The issue is beacons, but not necessarily because they are hard to make, but because it makes no sense. Black powder for nobelisk because you need that to blow up boulders to get to slugs and the odd resource deposits. Rubber, pipes, and black powder you should have in storage already because those are all everyday useful. It's fun to use though Making it isn't hard. It's better to buy them at the awesome shop (and still.) Someone made a post about it and you need like 3 or 4 manufacturers ?!! And handcrafting them well.
